Brief
We were brought in by Manchester based creative marketing agency, BJL, to fulfill the shoot and edit of three online films to be used in campaigns to promote Subaru’s latest range of e-hybrid vehicles.
Drawing on our experience of shooting Sports, and specifically car video content, we got the wheels in motion and jumped on board to help produce three films that would depict the key features of the XV model, along with boasting an appealing and on-brand lifestyle narrative.
Production
The shoot took place in northern Spain over the course of 5 days.
In order to diversify the footage, and showcase both the practical and adventurous side of the vehicle, we explored a variety of mountainous and city locations throughout Bilbao.
Working with the creative team at BJL to deliver on their objectives, our Director of Photography, Cal Thomson, flew to Spain with a small crew and our own specialist video equipment to film the production.
Output
We took care of the full post-production process, including the grading, editing, visual effects (3D modelling, license plate replacements) and sound design elements.
The final output was a selection of 60 and 30 second social campaign videos.
Due to the quality of footage and successes of the campaign, we later re-cut the video to be aired across European TV channels.
