Quote of the Shoot:
“Okay, can we stop filming so I can east these now - they look soooo good!”
Brief
Pip & Nut are self-proclaimed peanut butter addicts, passionate about flavour and ingredients. With time not on their side, they contacted us to produce a suite of social-first videos for use organic and paid media activity - all reliant on a rapid turnaround.
The project included a brand partnership with Smeg Kitchens, along with foodie influencers Steph Elswood and Lucy Mountain, to create a collection of pancake recipe videos just in time to launch the content for Shrove Tuesday (a.k.a greatest day of the year!).
Production
In order to make things as easy as possible for the Pip & Nut team, we took care of every element of the production, including sourcing all ingredients, developing the shot list, food styling, producing, filming, directing and editing.
We had the pleasure of shooting at the Smeg showroom/test kitchen in the centre of London’s Regent Street. Keeping things nimble, we brought a crew of four (DOP, Director, Stylist and Camera Assistant) and shot with two Sony FS7 cameras to capture 4K video footage. This allowed for extra resolution enabling us to rescale shots, take high resolution screengrabs and deliver additional vertical Instagram stories without loss in quality.
Post-production
After the one day shoot, we dug deep and condensed three days of post-production into two longer days, completing the whole project in just 72 hours - delivering a total of 14 videos (2 main recipes and 12 social assets) for use across social, web and paid media. The videos were shared across Lucy and Steph’s social channels as well as the Pip and Nut Youtube and Instagram pages.
