Brief
Pilgrims Choice is a premium British cheese brand that focuses on flavours and experiences. We partnered with stylists and food photography specialists, Eat and Breathe, and were tasked with creating four bespoke recipe videos and accompanying social content.
The video needed to match the strong, bold look & feel of the brand and so getting creative with lighting and shadows was a key factor.
Production
All footage was captured over two days at the Eat & Breathe studio. We used a variety of textures and lighting techniques that allowed us to keep a level of consistency with Pilgrims Choice’s existing assets and stills photography that had been produced as part of the same project.
Everything was shot on our Sony FS7, using a selection of wide angle and macro lenses. We brought all our camera equipment, lighting and monitors to E&B’s Manchester-based studio to allow us to work as efficiently as possible.
Output
Our team graded and edited each recipe video to produce the content in both landscape and square formats.
In addition to the main videos, we delivered 35 x social media assets, including loop-able cheesy cinemagraphs, slow motion idents and stop-motion product clips (from excess footage captured on the shoot). We also delivered each recipe in portrait for Instagram Stories.
