Quote of the Shoot:
“I don’t like sausage puns, they’re the wurst!”
Brief
To show off their range of pork, chicken and meat-free sausages, HECK! required a bank of content that would utilise the products across three variants of the ultimate sausage (we all have our favourites!). The brief required a series of impactful films to live within their brand store on retailer’s website, in addition to a large number of social assets, styled food photography and tailor-made YouTube Pre-roll bumper ads.
Production
Using HECK!’s fantastic demo kitchen, we operated a dual-station setup for efficiency. That means we had Cal (our DoP) fulfilling video in station one and Mark (photographer) on station two. Kieran (Director) and Beth (Food Stylist) would then work between both sets, with planning and timing being crucial to avoid interference with lighting. This well timed conveyor belt allowed us to shoot enough content in one day to yield 24 video and photography assets.
Day two took place on-site at our production suite in Manchester, capturing a bank of stop-motion and slow-motion video content with the use of on-brand colouramas.
All shots were planned and storyboarded prior to being on set, ensuring we were able to deliver such a large quantity of valuable content.
Post-production
On a quick turnaround, our in-house creative team then edited, graded and retouched all content to supply each asset at the right specifications for its intended use. This included crafting the pace, sound design and timings to be purpose-built for the web content, paid YouTube advertising and organic social content.
All sound and audio tracks were capturing or licensed by our post-production team.
