Freestyle Motocross

FMX | ‘Freestyle Motocross’ is a sport where athletes hurl themselves through the air at high speeds performing flips, tricks and grabs.

Wayne Jacobs is from the UK and performs all over Europe for a variety of shows. We followed Wayne for the day showing his private ramp tucked away in a secluded woodland area of Devon.

PRODUCTION

We originally connected with Wayne via instagram and he was super excited for us to capture one of his training sessions. The one day shoot consisted of 10 hours driving, 6 hours shooting and 4 different camera setups. We always like to add depth to each of our mini documentaries and therefore we interviewed Wayne after filming completed to gain an insight into his motivation and drive.

This provided a base layer by which the edit could be constructed.
